The eighth of Shawwal; the anniversary of the crime of demolishing the graves of the Imams (peace be upon them) in Al-Baqi' cemetery







The pain of witnessing the demotion of the cemetery of Baqi' is still present in the minds and hearts of the lovers and followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), as in every year, their sorrows are renewed when they remember the heinous crime committed by the junta unjust Wahhabis and takfirists by demolishing the graves of the Imams of guidance and the infallible people of prophecy house (peace be upon them), the desecration of their sanctity by carrying out two attacks; the first unforgettable crime was on the year 1220 AH, when the first Saudi state was set, Aal Saud have conducted the first Baqi' demolition, even that they tore down a significant number of the shrines of Imams of Baqi' (peace be upon them), but they remained unable to demolish them entirely as they did not have enough strength. And their state fell face to the Ottomans, Muslims have re-built them in the best way thanks to the donations, thus domes and mosques were built in a wonderful artistic way. And these holy graves returned to be the place of visit of the faithful. The second attack was on the 8th of Shawwal on the year 1344 AH, in which they have destroyed the dome that was put on the graves of the martyrs of Uhud battle, located outside Medina. And when they entered it, they thought that to demolish the holy places in Baqi', they have to prepare the ground by convincing the public opinion in Hijaz, which at that time were totally against it. Thus, to obtain a fatwa, they have sent the judge of Najd; Sulayman ben Geleyhed to Medina to obtain those fatwas that suit their crime intention. And indeed, he went to them and ask them questions to which he replied himself and ordered them to sign it, otherwise they will be sentenced to apostasy, disbelief and polytheism and thus deserve to die. And after the issuance of the fatwas from fifteen sultans' preachers of the so-called scholars, the fatwas were distributed among people in Hijaz and in the same year, as they had the legitimate cover for their outrages, they have vandalized and demolished the graves of the four Imams (peace be upon them), erased all the monuments related to the people of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and looted all valuables inside the shrines, they have stolen all money and jewelleries even from the closet of the holy shrine of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household). In addition to that, they have demolished other graves such as the grave of Omm Al-Banen (peace be upon her), the grave of Ibrahim son of the Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) and the grave of Hamza son of Ibna Abd Al-Muttalib (peace be upon both of them) with the martyrs of Uhud.
